This T-Rex diaphragm shutoff valve is ideal for medium flow applications such as side sprays, Road washing sprays and pressurised dribble bars.
Valve Operation:
This valve operates opposite to a butterfly valve due to the use of a convex diaphragm. Air pressure maintained this valve in a closed position. Removing the air pressure and applying at least 20PSI of water pressure will lift the diaphragm allowing water to flow. The convex diaphragm will maintain the valve in a closed position even when there is no air pressure present. This feature will stop water from leaking through the valve when the truck is off, and air pressure is lost.
